Reigning Cats
For this weekend class we will be focusing on using different textures and fibres to give the effect of rug hooking cats. The cats can be hooked realistically or can be a fantasy cat encompassing the works of designer Laura Burch, whose permission I have to use for ideas and colours. We will be working with wool fabric, ribbon, yarn, nylon – anything that you can hook with. There are many yarns that give the effect of fur. We will add sparkle and colour for unusual effects. Bring your imagination to this class.
