Our Sampler- designs & decisions

I'm on my way to Trent on Thursday to showcase my sampler, shown here.
Many members in our group, "The West Moira Rughookers" (not all) completed this project as a learning tool. It took us a year to complete but I'm sure all the learning could be done in 5 days.
We started the concept because there were quite a few novice hookers who wanted to know more. They learned about design, colour, balance, dyeing methods, hooking techniques, fine shading sculpting, borders, lettering and finishing.
Even the experienced hookers learned something new and had fun with it.
If all goes well I will be teaching this class at Trent in June 2009.
I am teaching it at the Chantry School in Southampton in October 2009.
